Gem Miner Dig Deeper Extreme Difficulty (Part 1 - Upgrading a Lantern)

This video shows how to upgrade your basic lantern into a small lantern. When you upgrade your lantern, it increases your surroundings around you, and this is important because when you go deeper into the mine, there will be crevasses (empty pits) under you, and you have to be extra cautious. In the map, a basic lantern surrounds you by 1 block radius. When you upgrade to a large lantern, it surrounds you by 2 block radius. I recommend using at most 5 supports and 5 ladders when you want to get an upgrade on your basic lantern in the first try. This will prevent wasting too much ladders and supports. Once you get into serious mining, you need to have a minimum of 15 ladders and 5 supports. You also need to have a minimum of 3 walkways, but it will be a waste of money if you purchase it too early. However, if you encounter a crevasse, you need walkways. You will encounter coals, and they appear in all levels of the mine. They are the lowest price selling (they sell $21).
