Pixel Quest: The Lost Idols - Game Walkthrough (full)

You have been assigned by Professor Watts to scout a newly found temple. Help Rex the adventurer get to this temple safely in this platform-based puzzle and physics game called Pixel Quest: The Lost Idols. The game features a retro pixel-art environment as well. The goal here is to jump and climb on the platforms and reach the door to win the level. You should be very careful when you move in each level for there are traps that can knock out your character. Use your abilities to dash or wall climbing to avoid these traps. Finish the level quickly to gain more bonus points. Overview Pixel Quest: Lost Idols is a fun little platform adventure game where you will guide Rex, an adventurer who seems to have a knack for danger. Your task will be to guide Rex across the danger laden levels in the game in search for the golden frog idols scattered throughout. The job's not going to be easy though as the levels are full of hazards that can easily kill Rex, like those gaps and pits, those falling spikes and even lava pits that seems to come from nowhere, not to worry too much though as Rex is quite a capable adventurer, besides running and jumping, he can wall climb, wall dash, double jump, even crawl under tight crevices and air dash. It is going to be a fun little adventure for sure and everything will be right at your fingertips. The game also features some special items for you to collect during your little adventure, there are gems, idols and even keys that unlock doors allowing you passage to the exit, and if you were able to collect all those idols and finish the level in the fastest possible time, you'll receive the highest rating at the end. So are you up for a little adventure?, Will you be able to collect all the golden frog idols scattered throughout the game?, It's time to find out. Graphics and Sound The graphics in the game are pixelated and simple, starting from the character all the way to the environments, The character looks kinda small too and you can barely see some cool features in it, it still looked nice though, even at such a tiny size. The environments are great, it has this retro classic appeal to it that makes them beautiful, you'll see different platform designs that look quite unique when compared to the other levels. The colors are also cool, they are quite crisp and really sharp making the game very nice to look at. Animations are very simple by the way while the movement of the character is smooth and quite brisk, very responsive to the controls really which makes it a lot of fun to move around. The music is nice but it gets repetitive after a while as it loops endlessly while you are playing the game, the sound effect on the other hand is also very simple and so are the game's special effects, it is in retro pixels so don't expect to see anything gorgeous here. Overall, the retro appeal did it for this one, it is the classic look that made it quite attractive. Gameplay As mentioned earlier, the game is a platform based adventure game, and as such, your character will be running and jumping across the levels, and if you are not very precise with your movements, your character will die a lot for sure, there are also gems, idols and keys for you to collect, the keys open doors while the idols and the gems increase your score and rating at the end of the level. Controls are simple and easy, you can either use the arrow keys or the WASD keys to move and the L to dash. Features Pixel Quest: Lost Idols features some very simple pixel based designs, there are 72 challenging levels for you to complete, a lot of obstacles and traps to evade and dodge, and a lot of idols and gems for you to collect. It also features very simple controls for you to use. Conclusion It is a very nice game overall and quite a challenge too, the earlier levels are simple but it gets quite difficult once you reach the higher levels. ----- Mobile games playlist:
