Fighters' Impact A [Arcade] - play as Faraha

This is a playthrough using Faraha Khan in the Arcade game Fighters' Impact A. Read on below for more information... Faraha can appear as a mid-boss or penultimate boss. She is an immediate playable character in this version of the game. NOTE: Continues were used in this playthrough. Unwanted losses are cut out to save time and keep the video file size to a minimum. ===== ABOUT FARAHA ===== In gameplay, she has the very unique feature of having side-stepping-walking as her walking movement, so if you hold Forward or Back she will constantly circle around her opponent. Using the Special button, she can switch the direction of her side-step-walking. She cannot walk forward nor back, but you can dash, dash-back or run. Her fighting style is Baguazhang, and she has no sub-styles. In the 'A' upgrade of the game, some moves and combos were removed and/or changed from her previously unplayable counterpart in the original version of the game. ===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA ===== ---- She is the only character in the game to retain and have the cartwheel for her back-dash from the previous revision. --- Her Stage 4 mid-boss is Hoi Hoi; her Stage 8 penultimate boss is Raoul; and her Final Stage boss is Barazock. ---- She is most likely named after real-life Bollywood film director and choreographer Farah Khan. ---- In the martial art Baguazhang (Eight Trigram Palm), one of it's common techniques is circle walking, which Faraha uses. ===== ABOUT REVISION A ===== Revision 'A' is an upgrade of the original Arcade game... it is basically the 'Champion Edition' of Fighters' Impact. The most significant change is that all five bosses (including Dr.WIZ) are now made playable characters. Other changes include gameplay tweaks - such as the removal of the custom combo system; the ability to escape throws; a counter-attack mechanic; and the removal of the universal dash-back "backflip" and "cartwheel" movements (besides Faraha). There are also new colour palettes for the characters and stage backgrounds, and the lifebar health colour is now blue instead of green. ===== ABOUT FIGHTERS' IMPACT ===== Fighter's Impact is a somewhat slow-paced technical fighting game. It's gameplay is focused on tactics, making you think about your next move, stringing your own combos together and blocking correctly. On the lifebar, under the character's name, there is a light-up counter that lights up and extends the higher you string moves together - however as mentioned earlier, this mechanic was removed in Revision 'A' of the game. For most of the regular characters you get to choose between 3 fighting styles/modes for them, complete with a different costume for each style. Despite some martial art styles being shared (such as Karate), there are some minor differences between the different characters using the same fighting style. The bosses do not have any sub styles to choose from, instead most of them use enhanced versions of existing styles. Faraha is the only character to use her own unique fighting style. The game features an atmospheric relaxing soundtrack, which usually closely matches the ambiance of the stage you're on. This is also one of those fighting games where in single-player mode, certain soundtracks carry over (continue playing) for multiple matches.
