Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials | 4K | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough No Commentary
Full game longplay of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Essentials, PSP exclusive released in March/April 2006. Played and emulated through the 64-bit PPSSPP, in a 4800x2720 resolution, well above 4K, with an Anti Aliasing pass, Natural Colors filter, and a 5x scaled, highest possible quality textures Upscale. Basically, max settings, all visual things turned on possible in the emulator, 10x internal resolution. Note: the cutscenes visually are speeding up, causing their end faster than intended, unfortunately no fix was found for that. Recorded in 4K high btirate. The only PSP Splinter Cell game, running on an Unreal Engine 2.0, the one in SC and SC Pandora Tomorrow entries in the series, CT and DA run on UE 2.5. It's basically a mix-up of notable missions from all the earlier games, up to and including Double Agent, plus 4-5 brand new levels. The already existing levels were sort of cut-down, and remade though, they are definitely not 1:1, except maybe for The Oil Rig level, which comes closest to a perfect recreation. Probably just to make the game fit and run on a PSP, 333 MHz CPU, 64 MB ram and all. Most definitely the worst "real" entry to the series (not counting Splinter Cell 3D for the 3DS as it's just a port of Chaos Theory), whole game was massively cut and scaled down solely because of the target platform. Missions chosen to be included are, well, known to me or any Splinter Cell fan, but the selection itself isn't really all that good. Zerkhezi's Penthouse, Oil Rig, Elsworth Federal Penitentiary, those are all already seen in a different way. All the rest are brand new. And don't get me started on how in the flying fuck they fucked up the animations for subdueing/killing, they literally swapped those animations, so when I first played it, I thought I was retarded and can't click L button for subduing. Controls are ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY DISASTROUS AND TERRIBLE. Unfortunately, it ain't PS Vita, and there ain't no patch to make a combination of camera key+left stick as a way to move the camera with the right stick, on an emulator.
