It features a variety of sports in which Mario and many other characters from the Mario universe can compete, including soccer (previously playable in the Mario Strikers series), baseball (previously playable in the Mario Baseball series), tennis (previously playable in the Mario Tennis series), golf (previously playable in the Mario Golf series), and horse racing (a new sport in the Mario sports spin-offs).
