"Total Recall" for the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) is an action platforming game developed by Interplay Productions and published by Acclaim Entertainment. Released in 1990, the game is based on the science fiction film of the same name starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. In "Total Recall", players assume the role of Douglas Quaid, the film's protagonist, who finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy involving memory manipulation and a rebellion on Mars. The game loosely follows the plot of the movie, taking players through various levels inspired by locations from the film. The gameplay is a mix of platformer and beat 'em up. The lack of moves makes the beat 'em up parts repetitive though. The stages are easy to navigate, but are filled with traps that the player needs to learn where they are and how to avoid. This is not a huge problem since the game is very short. Overall, Total Recall is a mediocre game that fans of the movie (or Arnold) might enjoy. This video shows 100% of the game.
