Difficulty = "Expert" Computer Opponents = 9 Difficulty Rating = 253% Starting Date = 1880 The goal of this map is to reach $80 million in Book Value in 25 years and to also beat all the other opponents. For this, you get the Gold Medal. The strategy of this map is to grab all the major cities as fast as possible using as much leverage as you can from debt, stock, and maximizing the profits of each rail line. But, you also need to not go too far into debt as this can severely harm your profits. I found the best way is to use mostly passenger and mail traffic and get lots of long-distance routes. Interest from cash and industry profits will enhance your long-term book value. Railroad Tycoon 2 is a great game that teaches you a lot about business and strategy. I think it is the best Railroad Tycoon version.
