Tonight marks the fifth round of the NXTGEN Racing Touring Car Championship (NXTCC) Season 7 as hosted on iRacing, powered by Doble Motorcycles! This week sees our drivers shift their racing up a gear for our first ever 60 minute Feature Race, and where better than the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps to play host! Situated in the Belgian province of Liège, this 4.35 mile circuit shall see our competitors roar their way through the Ardennes Forest to take on three unique sectors which shall leave no aspect of their abilities untested over the span of 19 corners! In the Overall Drivers’ Championship, with his rivals failing to out-score him in the USA, Wojciech Swirydowicz continues to advance his title defence. Heading into tonight 107 points clear of the chasing pack, can Swirydowicz increase his advantage going into the mid-season break? In the PRO-AM Championship, a challenging day at Charlotte has seen Mathew Addy take the lead by 11 points over Ben Altria. However watch out for Azz Tech Racing’s trio of Matthew Cheverton; James Smaggasgale; and Toby Prosser who are charging up the standings! In the AM Championship, it could not be closer with Daniel Fritz leading by only a three point margin over Marcel Fritsch. Add to this the fact that the top eight are only separated by 113 points, and it is anyone’s guess who will be leading after tonight! Who shall wrap-up the first half of their season on a high?
