ZX Spectrum Longplay [175] Wizball

Played by: Mad-Matt Wizball for the Spectrum. A conversion of the C64 original designed by Sensible Software and published by ocean in 1987. Showing System3 how a 128k spectrum game should be done!! ;) I've always found Wizball a difficult game and while making the longplay, its still a difficult game. The game is based on the C64 version but the two games are quite different. While this version isn't going to convert any c64 fans to the platform its still a good spectrum game in its own right. The difficulty comes from the sheer amount of enemy fire coming at you and even the paint paletts you ned to collect are firing at you! The aim of the game is to collect 3 paints on each of the 6 levels. each level only has one primary colour so you need to move between zones to get all the colours you need to mix. I think the game can be completed quicker than shown here. I waste to much time killing enemies when really I should be changing zones after collecting the paints to reset the paint spawns. Not much of an ending to the game and once you reach it the game loops and you go around again. There is no highscore table. even when all lives are lost you continue from the get ready screen. - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
