Center Ring Boxing Sega Saturn Intro + Gameplay [No Commentary]
I have a ton of games in my backlog that I've either never played or played very little. So I thought it might be fun to sample semi-random games and upload them so everyone can see how terrible I am at them! So here we have a game called Center Ring Boxing for the Saturn. It was developed by Victor Interactive Software and published in North America by JVC Digital Studios in 1995. This is a fairly interesting boxing game that was one of the earliest Saturn releases. When you first load the game up, you're required to create a new boxer, so you don't just pick from a predetermined list or anything. The fighting is different from any other boxing game I've played and the controls aren't quite like what you'd expect. I expected it to work like a 3D fighter or something, but you actually use Up / Down to move toward / away from your opponent. Left and Right are then used to circle your opponent. The first fight went well and I felt like I was getting the hang of it. And then the second fight ramped things up quickly as I struggled to stay with my opponent. I did better the second time, but still couldn't beat him. It's an okay game and definitely different, but a little too slow-paced for me. I captured this video on a Saturn.
