Burning Heroes (1995, (Nekketsu Tairiku: Burning Heroes) English, SNES/SFC Gameplay 2020)

Burning Heroes (Nekketsu Tairiku: Burning Heroes) is a Jrpg released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo/Famicom, it was developed by J-Force, and published by Enix. The game was only released in Japan but was later fan translated to English by Dynamic Designs, in 2012. STORY: Rather than me go into each story, there are 8 characters to play through and each of them have their own unique story that all eventually overlap to the last boss for the game. GRAPHICS: Okay, i'm gonna be honest here.. the graphics aint fantastic but the backdrops in the battles are really nice, even to the point the area kinda move and slightly rotate as you fight. The characters and monsters all look unique but not fantastic graphics wise though their animations all look great. The special group attack when the % builds up looks nice but gets a little boring after so many uses but it's so OP! SOUND: The game's music and sound effects are very hit and miss, the OST for the game.. some of the tracks are really great then others not so much. The sound effects also have the same issue, some sound fine then others not so much. The game has a couple of memorable tracks but the rest won't leave you humming along. GAMEPLAY: With 8 chararcters to play and all with their own unique stories, it's set out like a scenario situation, you choose one.. play to the end then choose hte next character.. repeat. There's a unique battle system in place where when you get hit a percentage builds up, once it hits 100% you can do some massive damage to the entire battlefield. The way the game's battles are all set out it reminds me very much of the Romancing SaGa series of games, with the formations and stuff but thank God this one don't have the dreadful stats levelling system. The game's difficulty starts off very low, in fact its incredibly easy up until a certain point then it becomes incredibly tough, so there's a nice challenge there but unfortunately it's not until you are nearing the end of scenarios. Trying to figure out what equipment to give your characters when buying and upgrading in shops is also quite confusing. This game has a large amount of endings for you to watch, all of which you can see in my other Burning Heroes video on this channel:    • Snes Burning Heroes (Last Boss + All Endings)   TRANSLATION/PATCH: I have to say here, to me.. out of all the Dynamic Designs translations they have done, this one.. is not the best but this was one of their first translations they did and there is still some minor issues, such as the text when it scrolls, it glitches at the bottom. Characters all feel like their own personality but just in this video alone you get the feeling that Ryuu has a certain type of attitude/persona but then he totally flips and becomes a total knobhead. OVER ALL: The game ain't bad, a number of different stories that lead to one end boss, and a couple of great music tracks. The Translation patch could still do with a little work but it's still near as perfect as you'd expect from a Dynamic Designs translation. Would I recommend this game now? only if you are a die hard fan of Jrpgs, if not.. then find a better one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Have you played this game?
