Played by MadMatty Here is another Sega Menacer Light gun game, and probably the best game for it. Probe have done an amazing job with the game, Great use of the limited colour pallete, fast and smooth gameplay. You wouldnt think it was the same 'Probe' that crafted the Genesis Terminator 2 Arcade port. The difficulty however is unreal and could have done with abit of playtesting and balancing. So annoying when there are no powerup drops when you really need them ;) I did try to play on hard, but it became too much and ran out of credits. A screen full of aliens taking away me energy whle I struggle to kill one at a time. The Game Supports the Menacer, mega Mouse and the trusty pad which I have used here. I think the game would be easier with 2 players for sure. To get the good ending you need to note the colour code given at the end of the first four missions. You then need to use this code to dissarm the bomb at the end of mission 5 by destroying the coloured containers in the order given. Unfortunatly, due to an emu bug, the interlude texts have become garbled. (kega and gens). I'll write what the screens are suppost to read below. LEVEL 1 - THE OFFICE THE RESISTANCE NETWORK BELIEVES THAT THE ALIENS ARE USING THE CITY'S MAIN OFFICE BLOCK AS THEIR HEAD QUARTERS. PENETRATE THEIR SECURITY AND DISCOVER HOW THEY PLAN TO DESTROY PLANET EARTH. LEVEL 2 - THE SUBWAY HAVING STRUCK THE FIRST BLOW FOR MANKIND AGAINST THE ALIEN FORCE, YOU HEAR RUMORS OF THE ALIENS USING THE UNDERGROUND TRAIN SYSTEM FOR HEAVY ARTILLERY MOVEMENT. SEEK AND DESTROY. LEVEL 3 - THE CANAL REPORTS HAVE REACHED YOU THAT THE ALIENS ARE USING A FACTORY ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE CITY TO BUILD THEIR WEAPONS. THE MOST DIRECT ROUTE IS VIA THE CANAL, BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE WAITING FOR YOU. LEVEL 4 - THE FACTORY AT LAST, YOU'VE REACHED THE WEAPONS FACTORY AND WITH THE ALIEN FORCE SEVERELY CRIPPLED, THIS IS YOUr CHANCE TO DEAL THE FINAL BLOW. DESTROY THE MACHINES BEFORE THEY DESTROY YOU. LEVEL 5 - THE ENCAMPMENT WITH ALL HOPE GONE, THE ALIENS ARE EVACUATING THE PLANET, BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET. THEY'VE PLANTED A NUCLEAR BOMB OUTSIDE THE CITY WHICH IS DUE TO DETONATE ONCE THE LAST SHIP HAS LEFT EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL, THEY'VE CAPTURED YOUR BASE CAMP AND ARE USING THE SURVIVING PEOPLE AS ANDROID SHIELDS. DEACTIVATE THE BOMB AND SAVE YOUR PEOPLE BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT. ENDING THE SUN RISES ONCE MORE OVER THE WORLD. IT WILL TAKE HARD WORK TO ELIMINATE THE SCARS OF DESTRUCTION, YET THE WORLD IS NOW FREE FROM THE THREAT OF ALIEN DOMINATION. THE FIGHT IS OVER, YET MANY OF OUR PEOPLE SUFFERED DURING THE SAVAGE CONFLICT. IT WILL TAKE MANY YEARS BEFORE MANKIND CAN REGAIN IT'S FORMER GLORY. BAD ENDING (If bomb explodes) THE NUCLEAR DEVICE IS ACTIVATED. HEAT AND LIGHT PURGE THE WORLD OF BOTH MAN AND ALIEN MAYBE GENERATIONS FROM NOW MAN WILL WALK THE EARTH AGAIN.
