Galactic Arms Race (GAR) is an online multiplayer space shooter game that generates its own weapons through a special automatic content generation algorithm called cgNEAT. The cgNEAT algorithm is designed to create new content based on the content players liked in the past. The video shows footage from an alpha version of the game, highlighting the variety of guns it creates. The game is created by the Evolutionary Complexity Research Group at the University of Central Florida. It is both an experiment in automatic content generation and an online video game.
