There are 15 Stray Fairies in total and all of their locations are the same between the N64 and 3DS versions. You can get the first 10 Stray Fairies by leaving the temple as is. The next 4 must be gotten with it inverted. Fairies #13 and #15 are gotten by stepping on a switch with the temple 1 way and then flipping it to get the fairy. You will also need 3 keys. Small Keys: #1 (1:55): In the room that is to the east of the temple's entrance is a room with water. Underneath the bridge is an underwater path leading to a different area of the temple. When you reach the exit of this pathway let the Dexihand grab you and throw you up on the ledge. Open the chest on this ledge to get the key. #2 (3:30): In the room with all the Armos, shoot the sun block with a light arrow and then kill the 2 Armos in the lava and the 2 behind the block to make a chest containing the key appear. #3 (12:32): With the temple inverted go through the east door of the temple's entrance. Ride the wind up to the bridge in the middle of the room and take the pathway until you reach a switch. Step on it and grab the key from the chest that appears. Stray Fairies: #1 (0:00): As soon as you walk into the temple shoot the eye of the rock face with an arrow and open the chest that appears. #2 (0:54): In the room east of the entrance, shoot an ice arrow in the water, jump on the iceberg, and look down and toward the direction you came from to see a sun switch. Shoot it with a light arrow and swim down to the chest that appears and open it. #3 (2:10): Get up on the ledge with Small Key #1 and run over to the crystal switch. Use a spin attack to activate it then swim over to the opposite ledge, remove the sun block, and open the chest that appeared. #4 (3:10): Open the locked door near fairy #3 and head down the staircase. In this room use the Hookshot on the target on the ceiling to the right and open the chest. #5 (4:38): Go back to the first water room with key #2 in hand and open the locked door opposite of where you originally entered the room from. In this next room, shoot the sun switch on the right side farthest from the door. Open the chest that appears. #6 (5:05): In the same room as fairy #5, shoot the sun block on the right and open the chest to get a fairy. #7 (6:25): After the mirror room is a room with a lava floor and some wind machines. Use the Deku Flower to fly over to a ledge to the left of the first wind machine to find a chest with a fairy. #8 (5:35): In the room with fairy #7 drop down into the lava and do a Goron Pound on the switch and quickly roll over to the switch on the other side of the room. Reaching this switch causes the flames around the chest just outside the door that leads to the Garo Master to permanently recede. Use the wind machines to make your way over to the chest to get a fairy. #9 (8:24): In the room just after the Garo Master is a thin walkway with a Hiploop on it. Jump down onto the grating on either side of this walkway and go near the ledge. Drop a bomb or use the Blast Mask to activate the crystal switch to make a chest with a fairy appear down below. #10 (9:22): After the room with fairy #9 is a walkway with an Eyegore on it. Use the Hookshot or arrows to kill it and open the chest that appears to get a fairy. #11 (11:06): With the temple inverted go to the entrance and look up from the boss' warp platform and you'll see a sun switch. Shoot it to make a chest containing a fairy appear next to you. #12 (11:55): Head through the east door of the inverted temple's entrance and use Deku Link to reach the alcove on the other side of the room. Turn around and shoot the eye switch with a fire arrow to make a chest containing a fairy appear. #13 (1:37): With the temple right-side up, step on the switch at the bottom of the water in the room east of the temple's entrance. (13:13) Invert the temple and then return to this room and use the wind to reach the platform with the switch. Play the Elegy of Emptiness on this switch to drop the flames around the chest and open it to get a fairy. #14 (16:12): Go to the room after the one with the block that you push while repeatedly flipping the room. Defeat the Wizzrobe and open the chest that appears to get a fairy. #15 (17:39): Go 2 rooms after the Wizzrobe room and to the right is a door. Enter it and step on the switch guarded by the Death Armos to make a chest appear. Revert the temple so that it's right-side up and drop down into the pit of the temple's entrance to get a fairy in the chest. How to find Ikana Canyon's Great Fairy:
