Dreamscapes 2: Nightmare's heir [this was a dumpsterfire! HOG] 1/4

This was a freaking nightmare, and not in the fun way... I seriously had to go check another walkthrough twice because I was mad hard-stuck... wtf... One time I admit it was me who hadn't looked, the other however, I KNOW i had tried to use this item on that other thing many times, and it didn't work, rebooted the game and it worked. I did cut out all my aimless wandering about, trying everything on everything, don't worry.
