F1 ROC II: Race of Champions Game Sample - SNES/SFC
NEW VIDEO F1 ROC II: Race of Champions is the much harder to come by sequel to the original F1 ROC racer by Seta. It has an improved presentation (more polished and reminiscent to F-Zero in terms of display), just as awesome music (what little there is), a few neat codes (one that's even a four player mini-game), and significantly different gameplay mechanics. It also utilizes Seta's special DSP chip, which is one of (if not the only) game to do so. In this game, you play through various stages of the game that have different tracks and a different car you must use for each. The first two allow you to freely build up money and race tracks as much as you want, while the last is done like the original game (in a season) where you play what the game presents you. You can have a researcher/scientist build you new parts if you give him enough money which takes a certain amount of time for him to complete. In the final stages of the game, he can fail to make parts, ask for more money, or rival competitors may even steal it upon completion. The world of F1 is a brutal place I tell ya. This video shows a few things in the game. Enjoy.
