So some casual gunfire and an "innocent" case of kidnapping to finally get some answers leads at last to some clues as to what has been going on in the small town of Invernock, Scotland. River is determined to uncover the truth behind the deaths of the MacLeod couple, and the disappearance of Matthew Wallace. Kevin Glenmore was helpful, apparently the last to see Matthew alive as they were previous loves. His own discoveries led him to a man named Ewan Black, pretending to be Matthew. Holes in the kneecaps weren't good enough for Ewan though as crimes against children and women too unspeakable earned him an extra hole to breathe out of. River isn't playing around anymore... it's time to go to church.
