It is an enhanced version of the original game of the same name and the third game to make use of the gameplay and graphical update to the True Golf Classics series since the updated version of Pebble Beach Golf Links. This includes higher-definition graphics, an updated user interface, video commentary describing each Hole, and an updated Swing Gauge. The game was ported to the Sega Saturn in Japan on February 28, 1997 as Waialae no Kiseki ~Extra 36 Holes~. It was also ported to the Nintendo 64 and released in both North America (on July 29, 1998) and Europe (on August 24, 1998).
