As in Feeding Frenzy, players must command a swarm of fast-growing marine predators on a mission to uncover a mystery lurking in the sea. The goal of the game is to avoid predators and obstacles while eating smaller fish and creatures in order to eventually reach the top of the food chain. Feeding Frenzy 2 includes 60 new levels with new underwater worlds, coral reefs, deep sea caves, and sunken ships, as well as above-water challenges. In the story mode, the player takes control of Boris, a small butterflyfish. Boris is supposed to eat his way to the top of the food chain, according to the player. Along the way, the player will come across new prey and predators, both friendly and hostile, and will have to stop an alien anglerfish.
