After completing the previous speed run, I was fiddling and discovered a movement bug that I could exploit. That was great, but there were places it didn't work. Still, I used it to pull apart the quest scripting and discovered some useful things. I then did a speed run that was just over 35 minutes long with them. After I concluded that but I was still recording, I decided to demonstrate a few more aspects of the movement bug I found for the sake of anyone else who wanted to try speed running the game. And that's when I found a way to get the skip to work with the one barrier that prevented me from just walking to the end of the game. I immediately started a new game and that's this recording. I think it's possible to get the time down to 4:30, but that's probably a hard limit unless someone finds a more efficient movement bug or a way to just connect the map loading to the final area. Remember that this is a very random game thanks to being based on AD&D 2nd Edition and just getting luckier with the dice rolls can result in significant time saving. Of course, there's only one fight in this speed run... For what it's worth, I'm still starting the game clock when I click the continue button after character creation. The ending is when I hit enter on the fire sword dialog box. And I'm playing version 1.0 of the game.
