Come closer to watch a documentary “Mongol Marmot”, an “engineer of the steppe ecosystem”. By the beginning of 2000 marmot population has sharply declined and were almost extinct. One of important conservation management strategies applied is the reintroduction of marmots from protected areas to locations with lesser density of marmots.
