Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Culture Brain's 1991 baseball game for the Super NES, Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 Played as "The Winners" through a 5-game season in the Ultra League. The ending is shown. Oh man, this brings back such a flood of memories. When I was in 4th grade a kid moved in down the street that had this game, and he used to bring it over to play all the time. I don't think we ever used the regular teams - the super powers were way too much fun. I mean, really, how satisfying is having the ball explode when an outfielder gets their hands on it? Or sending a hail-storm of baseballs at a hopelessly confused batter? The Baseball Simulator games have always had something of a cult following, but unfortunately only the first two games in the series were ever released in the United States (this one, and Baseball Simulator 1.000 for the NES - they're very similar games). It's insanely quirky, the voice samples are hysterically bad and muffled (am I the only one that hears "Pray-buh" when the catcher is yelling "Play ball"?), the music is stupidly catchy and memorable, and the graphics, though pretty ugly, still are pretty charming for their simplicity and effectiveness. It looks like a slightly more colorful version of the NES game, but some of those ultra effects are pretty sweet. If you want a great SNES baseball game, then sure, either Ken Griffey Jr. will suffice. But if you want one that really trumps just about everything else out there, take a chance on Super Baseball Simulator 1.000. Just about everyone (the few) that have played it have nothing but good things to say about it - don't you want to know why? ________ No cheats were used during the recording of this video.
