The first in the line of QB club games from Iguana, and despite that LJN rainbow at the start this one is actually pretty good. I liked the intro with the digitized portraits and signatures of various QB's around the league, the sounds are decent enough and the sprite work is pretty charming. I did laugh at "John Michaels" being the recap guy seemingly a mash of John Madden and Al Michaels respectively. Gameplay kind of missed the mark a bit I feel. It wasn't bad, certainly not unplayable but just felt off. Passing is obviously the focus here being "QB Club" and all but still never felt quite right. Looking forward to seeing how this series evolves as it continued to compete with Madden over the next few years.
