Tales of Rebirth - Veigue [Veigue Solo/No Damage/God Mode]
It was pretty hard to go back to Rebirth since you are limited to Base → Arcane chains only. HAHAHAHAHA Anyway, I had a lot of fun preparing this fight and finding an optimal setting for the combo without relying on cheesy skills like FG Cure, FG Heal or Hold +1,5. I had to use a weak weapon with no enhancement to keep the enemy alive for a bit. First, it was all about which Artes I should use and what Force skill I had to equip them. Genryuuzan is probably the most important Arte since not only it has an instant hitbox but it is also perfect for tech chase. I used the Mental skill on it to be sure it would be more available during the fight. After that I wanted to use the Fast skill to extend my combo after an Arte that usually ends the combo (because it has a very long recovery time). I used it on Genma Rengashou. Houryuu Mueiken is great to extend combos since you get a lot of time to use new Artes and basic attacks. However, the Arte itself can only be chained after Senkoushou so I had to use the according accessory to be able to set up the combo. Senkoushou normally can be used for Infinites if you use it on 2+ slots and if you use guard cancel but it's not the point of the video here. Genpa Shoureppa is godly. While it has a quite short recovery time, you usually end up too far to be able to combo after it. Thankfully, Genryuuzan can cross this gap in a very short time and keep the combo alive (damn, fighters have so many way to extend their combos in this game :o). Genman Zanshouken is an interesting case since you can't normally combo after it. However, when an enemy is sent in the air, it will bounce on the ground for 15 frames (0,25 second) before laying down and being invincible. During this time, you can use an extremely fast Arte to force the enemy to stand up and keep the combo. Only Shurenjin and Reppashou can do that (Genryuuzan works on big enemies). However, since my FG recovery is extremely low at this point of the game, I had only 1 FG available (No arcane after it). Yet I decided to use an empty slot to continue the combo. Artes on empty slots have twice less stagger effect. They will most likely end all your combos and prevent spamming. However, it's still possible to combo after them if you use Artes with almost instant hitboxes like Genma Rengashou. Technically, the combo should have ended shortly after since I used all my FG slots (remember : low FG stat) but I timed the 30sec FG bonus from the recipe to recover all my FG and, once again, continue the combo. Took quite some time to find the settings, but damn that was rewarding.
