Not a replay this time, but an actual god-to-earth playthrough. This is the second new track added in the NSR 0.2.8.2 beta, Multiplex. Although classed as an Aerobatics course (which are otherwise devoid of jumps and are about high speed and car control) this track in fact incorporates all three fields of track type in its long superbowl oval-style section that begins near the end of the lap and carries through into the first corner, through to the transition into super-cross dirt and bumps, and then through into some RIDICULOUS jumps and ... I won't say any more, I'll let the video do the talking. Track position was forced to give myself something to do during the race. My best lap is a LOT faster than my race lap, owing to the fact I'm not that good at controlling the oversteer exhibited by the Evolution (pictured) and the Air-XS. Also, needing to manage car damage is a must over the course of 6 laps, whereas with 1 lap you can just fling it around and mostly get away with everything. Track overview: Name: Multiplex Type: Multi (primarily Jump) Length: 5.5 kilometers (approx) Average lap time: 1m 18s-1m 20s Highest attainable ground speed (excludes drafting): 295-300km/h Highest attainable air speed: 360-370 km/h (pipe dive) Main Cause of Attrition: Suspension damage, crashing the split-loop. Track Difficulty: High - the Super Cross section is the most unpredictable section. AI Challenge: Medium - with practice, the AI are beatable by 1-2 seconds per lap.
