Initially released on the Sega Dreamcast in 2006, Under Defeat came at the tail end of the consoles very short existence, but still managed to made an impact on the Shoot'em up community. While there was no plans for porting to any other platform during that time, Sega would wait until the next generation of consoles for a the HD release on the PS3 and Xbox 360. It almost feels like Under Defeat was never given a proper chance to succeed due a limited print run for the new version, and essentially a missing marketing budget.
