Open Sargent and Greenleaf 8077A Padlock with Factory "25" Combination

The factory instructions "Opening Procedure" say to turn Counterclockwise and stop on 25 after passing it 4 times. Then turn clockwise to zero and pull shackle. THIS IS WRONG for my lock. The correct procedure is to turn CW and stop on 25 after passing it at least 3 times. Then turn CCW to zero and open.
