(EXPAND DESCRIPTION FOR MY IMPRESSIONS OF THE GAME) Release Date: 1995 Developer: Addix Software Development, Inc. Publisher: SoftKey Multimedia Inc. Game Type: First-Person Shooter I had never played this game nor had I heard of it. I have to say it appears to be a rather ambitious shooter with quite an array of different systems and weapons at your disponal. Using the F keys you can switch between various suit modes. F1 is for navigation that gives you access to a minimap. F2 is for combat which readies your weapon and allows you to shoot. F3 is for weapon selection. F4 seems to be to controls your various suit systems. I wasn't familiar with them so I didn't mess around. But it's definitely intriguing. The levels seem rather huge. I clocked easily 20+ minutes and hadn't finished exploring the level before I let myself die. With levels so huge it's rather nifty they included a minimap. The draw range of the mini-map tool is rather small. But you have access to a sonar/ping to map out at a greater distance. It did seem to consume a lot of power. Which is needed for your weapons and suit. Although it has the hallmarks of the confusing shooters of the late 80's and early 90s. It manages to include these seemingly complex additions such as your suit systems and various "modes"for your mech. But it's done in a rather clean fashion with surprisingly intuitive interaction. Where there might be confusion a tooltip may very well pop up. There is also a built-in help menu that I triggered more than once by mistake during the video.
