Quick Play - Defend the Fleet Pearl Harbor [Windows]

Defend the Fleet: Pearl Harbor, is a 3D shooting gallery style of game, where players man an anti-air defense turret on a US ship in Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack on December 7th, 1941. The game was developed by Running Dog Software and published by Infogrames in 2001 for Windows. Players are first given 50 caliber machine guns and tasked with shooting down fighter planes, and then as the player progresses they're tasked with shooting down dive bombers, torpedo bombers, and even submarines make an occasional appearance. As the game progresses, the player is given heavier caliber guns, such as 20mm auto cannons, 40mm flak guns, up to "experimental" rockets. That's sort of all there is to the game. Players will move around Pearl Harbor after so many levels, and sometimes friendly aircraft will appear to help shoot down the enemy planes, but that's about it. Mostly the number and type of aircraft and/or enemies increases. The graphics are pretty basic, especially for 2001, though the sounds and music are pretty good. Overall it's a pretty basic game, but one that is interesting to play for a few minutes between other games.
