Shoot Em Up Construction Kit Amiga - Example game and showing how a few things works
Played (and a little bit edited) by : Laurens Schutze UPDATE 17-5-2022: A few more sprites are created and more attack waves for some more variation and action. Shoot'Em-Up Construction Kit (SEUCK / S.E.U.C.K.) is a game creation system for the Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST created by Sensible Software and published by Outlaw in 1987. It allows the user to make simple shoot 'em ups by drawing sprites and backgrounds and editing attack patterns. The advertising promoted the Kit with the phrase "By the programmers of Wizball and Parallax". In the past I had it on the C64 and spend many hours with it. I didn't even know that this editor was existing on the Amiga until I found it last time. I had a lot of fun trying it again after a long time and I experiment with a few things, but I haven't done a lot of things in this example game in this video and I only added a few more enemies, created a few sprites to create new enemies and changed just a few random settings of this example game because a lot of things were already added. I have no idea if it should be that way or that someone just edited the game on the .adf file and just didn't finish it and left it that way. I just played the game the way I have edited it and after that I showed some features in the editor to give an impression of how it aproximately works. Since Amiga released some more advanced games, I don't like the Shoot Em Up Construction Kit and its games so much anymore than I did in the past because some Amiga games seems to contain more surprising elements than you even could add with the Shoot Em Up Construction Kit, but it was fun to experiment with it after many years. If you wish to play the example game the way I have edited it or you wish to edit anything, then download the .adf of the example game at : You can do with this example game whatever you want to do, because I have only used it for this video and I don't use it anymore and I will not continue editing anything in the future.
