Baseball Stars 2 for the Neo Geo

Following the success of Baseball Stars on the NES and its successor, Baseball Stars Professional, SNK saw the release of Baseball Stars 2 for the Neo Geo arcade system, Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo CD, and the NES. Baseball Stars 2 was released in 1992 and was developed by Eikichi Kawasaki & co. and was published by SNK. The quality of the game was changed dramatically in terms of visuals and audio from Baseball Stars Professional. Bigger sprites, better commentary and voice quality, and new features played a pivotal role in setting the standards even higher in the series. The arcade version which is featured in this gameplay video, which was also released on the AES (the hardware is based off one another), features 18 teams between two leagues, with the Exciting League as beginner mode and Fighting League as expert mode. Each team has a total of 4 pitchers, 4 pinch hitters, and a power up option to increase the size and power of one's bat. In this game, I play as the New York Monsters and I take on the Seoul Ivorys.
