So Cave, Moss, Treasure, Qute, Yotsubane, Pyramid and now G.rev. What isn't on Steam at this point? Touhou I guess. Anyway, G.rev makes their debut on Steam with Strania. Like you'd except from G.rev, Strania is a super amazing game. The scoring system revolves around all the different weapons you can pick up through the course of the game. Enemies that are killed are worth a certain amount of score and experience and killing enemies with an equipped weapon will give exp to that weapon. If the enemy was hit by multiple weapons before it died than the exp given will be evenly divided across all weapons. Naturally, the more points an enemy is worth, the more exp it also gives. Getting exp for a weapon allows it to "level up" from 10 kyu to 1 kyu and then from 1 dan to 10 dan. This is purely a score thing, the weapons don't actually get stronger or anything. Getting 1 dan for a weapon at the end of the game gives you a bonus of 1 million points. Every extra dan at that point is worth 100k. The game really encourages you to use every weapon as evenly as possible throughout the course of the game since it's so lucrative to get 1 dan's. Figuring out how to evenly divide exp across all weapons throughout the course of the game is quite fun. The second scoring system in the game is the O/D system. Functionally, it works like a bomb that gives you temporary invincibility. However while it's activated it also gives you a score multiplier to a max of x2.0. The value of the multiplier depends on how close the O/D is to ending. Steam page:
