Welcome to this #Rare DOS Adventure game ... that was build to be like all those Sierra games before ... in 1993... but near it development cycle became a win3.11 game ... pushed out in 1997 ... that on a Pentium 100 with 16MB and a 4x CD drive... needed almost a FULL MINUTE to load a game screen ... a game with history so wild ... someone now , from some other popular YT will cover it ... You play as detective McBlade, who one day receives a mysterious letter and decides to find the sender. Requested to solve a cold murder case from 60 years ago, connected to the ancient Indian myth of the Death Cave. The main game concept and idea behind it, was conceived by Phil Grabmiller . After being a musician, he started Backpacker as a text adventure , building its story on his years at the University of Idaho , when he got his B.S. in Range Science. But when he met Richard Williams in a chatroom of the Prodigy on-line service, they decided to turn it into a graphic adventure. With Richard , in 1993 funding its production , and a game Studio called "Animagination". After the publication of the game Backpacker: The Lost Florence Gold Mine in 1997, Williams focused on religious activities: “Richard Williams has been ministering in the office of a Teacher for many years, but back in 1998, God called him into the office of an Apostle” (quote from the defunct Animagination site). Phil Grabmiller left the company early in 1999, and went on to work for Microsoft, where he still works, but not in the games division. As for Williams , In 2002 he published a book entitled “Receiving from God,” in which he wrote about the different types of motivational and manifestation gifts are given by God. Meanwhile the original Animagination site had been turned into a religious site, maintained by Williams. It wasn’t updated any more after June 2004. Around 2005, Richard Williams lived in Montana and did multimedia work long distance for a firm in LA. Welcome to the Longplay ...
