The Devil's Den

On July 2, 1863, the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg, more than 5,000 soldiers from nine states fought in what was in fact one of Gettysburg’s most terrible infantry fights, with more than 1,800 men killed, wounded, captured or missing. It was the largest loss of life over any two days in the American Civil War. To this day, Devil’s Den remains one of the most active haunted locations on the Gettysburg Battlefield.
