The Mysterious Murasame Castle (Nazo no Murasame Jō) Playthrough Part 1

Remember when I uploaded a part of this a while back? Well, I canceled the Playthrough earlier. Now, it's time to actually beat this game. This Playthrough is only going for the main mode, not the harder mode that's obtained upon beating the game (trust me, this game is hard enough as it is). Also, this is played on my Famicom Disk System rather than on the Virtual Console like last time. In this part, we go to Aosame Joh, Akusame Joh, and Ryokusame Joh, along with their castles. These are the stages shown in this part: Aosame Joh - Outside: This is probably the only easy area in this game. It's quite simple, really. The area contains Black Ninjas, Bomb Shinobu, and Star Ninjas. Try to get the Fireball ability from the Tanooki scattered around the area. The Windmill Sword does go fully across the screen, but it's much weaker than the Fireball. Also, try to get a King Shogi piece, which allows Takamaru to fire three projectiles in front of him, huddled together. This can deal massive damage to enemies. Aosame Joh - Castle: Your first castle is a simple one. It contains enemies such as Blue Castle Ninjas, Fire Ninjas, and Sword Samurai, which can only be killed when they raise their swords. Princesses can be found in some areas of Castles. If you find one, they'll give you an extra life. Unfortunately, there can sometimes be a Jealous Spirit instead, which will follow you until you kill it. It'll even follow you when you come back after dying. If you defeat it, you get 8,000 points, but no extra life. The boss here is the Blue Daimyo, which fires four bombs while moving around. The Fireball will utterly destroy this boss. Akusame Joh - Outside: This area contains enemies such as Tengu, Fire Shinobu, and in my opinion, the most annoying enemy in the game, the Flashing Ninja, which not only drops mines everywhere, but blows up when killed. Akusame Joh - Castle: This Castle is quite tough and contains annoying walls that will launch fireballs at you. These get annoying when battling Porters. Spear Samurai are quite a pain, as you have to be REALLY careful trying to hit them. The boss here is the Red Daimyo, which throws bombs that turn into White Ninjas. Stay on the side of the Daimyo, and keep throwing whatever projectile you have until he's defeated. Ryokusame Joh - Outside: This snowy area is quite long compared to the first areas of the other stages. There's a bunch of water, so try to find a pair of Blue Sandals so you can walk through it much easier. This stage also introduces mountains, which will contain Flying Ninjas and Hill Bandits. Earth Demons also appear here, but they aren't too bad. Ryokusame Joh - Castle: This stage is quite tough, as there are many enemies out to kill you. Many older enemies return, but now there's a new one known as the Flame Ninja. These guys are just annoying. You need to have really good timing to actually hit them. The Green Daimyo is the boss here. He mainly battles with clones of himself. Like the other bosses though, he goes down quite easily.
