Strike Gunner STG (SNES) Full Run on Hardest (Otaku)
Full run of Strike Gunner S.T.G. on Level 4 Difficulty (called "Otaku" mode in the Japanese version), my final score was 1,423,700 points. This was captured off a real SNES running the real cartridge. Here's the stage listing along with the weapon I used: 00:00 - Start 00:24 - Stage 1 - Forest 1 - Autoaim Vulcan 06:26 - Stage 2 - Forest 2 - Heat Arrow 12:06 - Stage 3 - Desert - Plasma Shield 17:39 - Stage 4 - Sea - Sonic Wave 25:21 - Stage 5 - Atmosphere - Atomic Missile 30:45 - Stage 6 - Asteroid Field - Sonic Shooter 36:40 - Stage 7 - Space - Laser Cannon 41:19 - Stage 8 - Enemy Mothership - Heavy Vulcan This game is pretty much a nightmare, bullet speed is crazy and your ship moves pretty slow initially (speed powerups don't come until much later in the game). Memorizing the enemy placement is basically required to get anywhere in this game. There's also some strategy to picking your special weapons because they can only be used for a single level and then become unavailable. Some weapons are useless on certain stages, and a few of the bosses are pretty much impossible without the right weapon.
