Thief 2014 - How to defeat Thief-Taker General on any difficulty

This is a guide on how to defeat Thief-Taker General from the current gen Thief game. Don't worry if it takes you awhile, it took me about an hour before I got him down, and it was only possible through this method. As much as I'd like to avoid the fight with him, picking the lock on that door with him standing there is impossible.
