How to Solve Bridges Puzzles

Bridges puzzles, also called Hashi puzzles, are a fun logic puzzle in which you must build bridges between islands - hence the name. The rules are: join the islands with bridges. The number in each island indicates the total number of bridges connected to that island. No more than two bridges can run between any pair of islands, and islands must run horizontally or vertically only and cannot intersect each other. Additionally, no island or set of islands can be isolated: that is to say, in the solved puzzle it will be possible to move between any two islands in the puzzle by crossing bridges.
