Super Munchers is a 1991 edutainment game legend MECC. Rather than teaching educational concepts such as math or grammar like the other Munchers games do, Super Munchers teaches kids trivia questions about animals, music, geography, and other assorted topics. Players control the "Muncher" who eats words that fit into a given category. In this version, eating enough correct answers turns the Muncher into Super Muncher, giving him the power to kill the evil Troggles. A puzzle minigame appears every three levels that advances the story as the Muncher takes down the evil Dr. Frankentroggle. This is the Mac version, which was released alongside the DOS one. The games are practically the same apart from presentation, speed, and a few small tweaks. Controls in the cliff-climbing minigame are improved but still noticeably bad. Once again, I messed up the cliff game because the item placement is sometimes impossible. I love the Munchers games, but I just really hate that part.
