[LAB -Still Alive- v1.25] Full Run. Melee Only. All Enemies. All Items. No Damage. No Falls or Grabs
Nothing 18+ rated here, but on my Boosty, will soon post full version with entire gallery checked, stay tuned. Game technically has 2 difficulties, but it only changes damage taken. And I never take any. So, “no damage” equates any difficulty to max. About conditions: – No Damage/Falls/Grabs - some enemies may grab heroine without dealing any damage, if she can get away quickly enough. I avoided any such slowdowns. And, obviously, this excludes gallery. – All Enemies - since enemies resawn, when room is re-entered, I only kill everyone once. And only skip unkillable things, like traps. One type of killable enemy I missed deliberately - bees at the greenhouse. They are endless and random, so trying to reach them is pointless. Also, there is a girl with milk - she’s not an enemy, cannot be hit. Instead, she grabs heroine, when approached and.. umm.. heals her. – All Items - all weapons, abilities, 8x25 HP upgrades and any Milk, that was not dropped by enemies. And Poison, after finishing 5th boss. Run is spliced, as always - game allows saves, and I use them. But I made a condition for myself to only save when music changes - so cuts wouldn’t be obvious. So, most of my saves were before or after bosses. Entire run was done in 14 segments. A couple of words on game’s mechanics. Game itself is not very hard, even on hardmode. But what is hard – performing perfectly. Because most animations – jumping, sitting down, attacking, have unresponsive frames. That means, if I press another button at the wrong time, it will not count. And while I understand that mechanic being implemented on purpose for double attack to limit combo speed – for some other actions it’s quite unreasonable. For example, when heroine gets to the maximum height of her jump, for one frame she cannot attack or use double jump. This made me miss attacks or jumps way too many times. Few I even left in this video. And some bosses, for example 2nd one, can be killed a lot faster with perfect performance – or can be exploited more easily. But it gets unreasonably hard to do everything right, because a couple of missed frames can mean, that I’ll either jump instead of sliding, or have single attack instead of double, or will have 2nd attack too late to dodge, etc. Even with all that said, game is pretty good. That bad mechanic is countered well with working ones, which give reasonable control over the character. But now you can see, why I did not go for absolutely perfect kills of every enemy and had few misses here and there. One more thing - at the greenhouse, part with 2 pits with worm spawners and part with bees are completely random. There is no way to react properly. It took way more attempts than it should have to finish this stage without a scratch.
