Nice and Games -- Saikyou! Shiro Biking Security Police [PlayStation 2]

Saikyou! Shiro Biking Security Police. Now THAT is a great title. Also known as Police Chase Down in Europe, the gameplay doesn't match the game's title. It's a budget game from D3 Publisher's Simple 2000 Series for the PS2. Actually, it is Volume 7 in the Simple 2000 Ultimate Series, though I don't know what is so "ultimate" about this game. I also don't know if I have the title exactly right, to be honest. Seems like most website list it as "Shiro Biking" but then a couple places have it as "Shirobi King" So yeah, you can't trust me for titles. Anyway. In this game you play a super-powered cop who is immune from taking damage from bullets, vehicular impacts or land mines. Your job is to protect a VIP from the government as he/she travels in a white limousine. Along the route you'll encounter terrorists bent on destoying that limo! I don't know why! The control is OK but not great, you tend to spin out a lot while trying to steer at high speeds. Small gentle controller movements are bests. The graphics are nothing to write home about either. This is a great example of the stereotypical budget game. Playable, but short on depth and length, loose controls, and just overall....not polished. It's not the worst game ever, far from it, but it is, IMO, below average. Whatever that means. Uhm. This game is under 5 feet tall. There.
