This does lead to a lot of repetition and booking the same stuff over again but its still a solid game. Justin Kownacki more_vert April 10, 2022 This is a fun, well-designed, and surprisingly addictive wrestling league simulator. It uses the collectible card game format: you start booking matches with a small group of wrestlers in 1980, and you can unlock more wrestlers, managers, rivalries, and sponsors over the next 20 in-game years. The art and audio are very clever, and I love the way my head canon for all the characters keeps evolving over time. The card store is optional, but spending a few extra bucks can really expand the game. Mike Kj more_vert March 31, 2022 Lots of fun so far after playing the 1980 year through. Wish a few more things were explained. Which matchups are best for ratings. The system for getting stars for a segment, and mic and skits with bonuses to other types of wrestlers to gain their skill without blowing the whole show. Wish there were signature movesets to upgrade or unlock. Also could be fun to have fed vrs fed matches. A Google user more_vert April 17, 2019 Very addictive and very fun to play. I've been a fan of booking games and this one doesn't require a lot of micro managing like others. It's just the right amount and I love the pop culture references. Love the 4/16/18 update that now has CPU generated awards with the ability to override. Looking foward to the end of the year with the new Modern Mania game. Keep up the great work. Jesse Lunzman more_vert May 30, 2021 Too much has changed. New artwork. Worse soundbites. Are they avoiding getting sued over a type of satire? I don't know the answer to that. The gameplay is simple enough to allow multi-tasking, and the lack of ads combined with it's nostalgic charm has kept it on my phone long after others get deleted. That said, it was a better game before the aesthetic changes, and the lack of coherent consistency on advancing wrestlers or getting higher ratings on matches/shows makes it repetitive and stale. A Google user more_vert January 17, 2020 UPDATED: I've now played through once and am on my second. It's funny, nostalgic, creative, engrossing, and takes me back to 1980-ish when I was a 6th grader and never missed the local weekly wrestling show out of Dothan, Al. I made a game with cards and notebook paper back then - and this game is what I would have wished for. I love the stats, the ratings, the ridiculous number of championship titles, and the different feds - just a fantastically entertaining game all the way around. Thanks from the bottom of my childhood for all of your hard work, developer(s)! A Google user more_vert January 13, 2019 Great fun! Plays fast! There are microtransactions but it can all be attained through gameplay. No power meters! You aren't playing for a few minutes then being forced to spend real money to keep playing when you want.
