This was from PlayStation 2 Christmas Special 2003/The Sun's PS2 Demo Disc. This playable demo is Destruction Derby Arenas Notes from Uploader: There's two modes to talk about with this one. First is the racing mode, which still has destruction stuff to it due to the series namesake, but ultimately, getting 1st does give you a really nice boost in points to keep you in 1st. You're not entirely required to get 1st to be 1st, but it does help alot. The other mode is the arena mode, which is the hardest one due to the fact this game is so damn slide-y on the steering. It is rather difficult to get yourself set up for alot of things and getting some powerups is a royal pain too. In the end, i kinda just get a bit lucky with this run and manage to get enough smashes and points to where i'm able to be 1st place here too. Boosting is your greatest friend, however actually getting boost is a difficult thing in of itself. Outside of the boost powerup, other way is smashing and powersliding, but those give you very small boosts so... it really isn't much.
