PC-FX : Blue Breaker ~ Ken Yori mo Hohoemi o (JPN)

Blue Breaker: Ken yori Mo Hohoemi o (ブルーブレイカー ~剣よりも微笑みを~) is an RPG that developed by Hunex and published by NEC back in 1996, exclusively for the Japanese market. Althought, it was meant to be a NEC PC-FX exclusive, it was later ported to the PS1 and Sega Saturn (1997). From 2008 it is available for download in the Playstation store. A young warrior named Kain decides to start a journey (after his father encouragement) in order to defeat the famous and super strong Dark Lord but also to find the one, true love . Before leaving his house, his father introduces to him a young sorceress named Asha, who becomes his first companion.During his journey he will meet many other young women , it won't be easy to choose his soulmate. Blue Breaker is a turn based RPG that combines role play and dating simulation gameplay elements. The role play part is what you expect from a jrpg of that era with town ~through menus~ and area/dungeon exploration. The action parts are presented in a side scroller view which is not so common for a game of this genre. As for the dating simulation part, your answer choices and behavior towards girls influences the story progression and your relationship with them. For example, if you give a girl too many orders in battle (by the way you can set battle in auto mode) she will be displeased and won't like you. And so on. The game is not import friendly as it contains a lot of dialogues in Japanese.
