A playthrough of a PC game for a change. This is the intro + first 5 levels of Silpheed published by Sierra in 1988. I played this one a lot back when I had an 8088 PC in the late 80's. It's not a bad shooter for PC at the time but the best thing about the game is the music which is coming straight off an MT-32. The aim is to get through 20 levels and blow up the giant battleship that has been stolen from Earth. You get a new weapon choice every 50,000 points to help out although only the last couple of weapons you pick up are worth using.The intro has possibly the worst speech synthesis I've ever heard. Just as well there are subtitles.
