Knights of Xentar Official Demo

Megatech's Official demo for Knight of Xentar. Like Metal & Lace before it, the game was sold nudity-free to get shelf space in stores. It was available in CD or 3.5" floppy diskette. The CD version predated the floppy version by about a month and shipped with a bug that wouldn't get you get past the first 1/4th of the game. To enable nudity, you would have to purchase an upgrade directly from Megatech for about $9 plus shipping. Unlike Metal & Lace, the game's nudity wasn't just omitted but instead the artwork was modified to add clothes since there was no nudity free version of Dragon Knight 3. Also, even the US nude version featured edited pictures from the original PC98 version to remove the censorship mandated by Japanese Law... yet their artists didn't redraw the naughty bits and instead modified them to be less raunchy or removed them outright. Compare and Contrast to JAST USA which redraws the censored artwork for regions without draconian censorship laws. The demo features art only from the touched up no-nudity version except they accidentally left in a monster shot with a damned penis still in there. I guess it kinda looks like a finger the way it's positioned. Game is actually pretty good but the translation is pretty insufferable. Very jokey as opposed to the original kind of like how Working Designs fucked up Lunar. I blame this for the lack of other Dragon Knight games released in the US and the lack of balls for a company to at least sell it as-is let alone retouched. Also, a full walkthrough was available directly from Megatech's BBS and site for this game. Can't expect horny assholes to actually play it, I guess.
