It was originally released in 1993. This video shows the Turbo! version released a year later, which improved the performance of the game, allowing for much smoother gameplay. While it might look rough now, the technology was extremely impressive when it was released. One interesting thing about TJP is that despite being a cinematic game with lots of FMV dialogue, it is very "gamey" in its design. It has several puzzles that require quick reaction time, many ways to die, and even has a detailed scoring system which grades how well the player performs. *Not all possible ways to Game Over are shown. There are many ways to trigger each scenario and some of them are not very interesting, as they involve waiting around for a long time. However, I think I did show every Game Over screen (I may have missed one or two). Also, the alternate solutions shown in this section are the "violent" solutions. The game rewards the player for completing areas "peacefully" with a score bonus and, in some case, additional items.
