At the start of each turn, your ink replenishes and gradually increases to a maximum of 10. You draw a card and spend ink to summon simula, but summoned units cannot attack immediately unless they have a specific ability. Attacking becomes possible from the next turn. There are various special ability simula in the game. Some activate combo effects when combined with different factions, while others act as walls that block incoming attacks. Some units have death-triggered abilities, which makes managing the battlefield more tactical. Apart from summoning, there are ability cards that boost your ink, strengthen existing simula, or set conditions for special effects. Combining these abilities efficiently is crucial for gaining an advantage. If the opponent has no wall-type simula, you can attack their hero directly, reducing their health points. Draining the enemy’s health to zero leads to victory. Leveraging combo effects can help you heal or deal extra damage, turning the tide of battle in your favor. One downside is that the prologue feels excessively long, and some card descriptions are difficult to grasp at first, making the learning curve somewhat steep.
