He received his vocal education at the Warsaw Conservatory (graduated in 1939, class of Edmund Heintze), as well as at the American University in Beirut (1943–1946, class of Karnaukhov). In the 1940s he worked as a military doctor. In the 1950s – 1960s he performed on the opera stages of Great Britain, in 1969-1991 he worked as a family doctor in London.
