Episode 1 begins with our main character Reiji Hashima lining up at We R' Toys (RIP 2018) for limited edition merchandise of the Frill and Lace anime that airs Sunday. As Reiji is waiting with other fans for the doors to open, he spots a girl with a wardrobe malfunction. The girl is too busy yelling at the scalpers to notice her problem. Reiji manages to solve both problems by scaring the scalpers and diverting the girl's attention with security guards. The girl thanks the main character as they return to the line. The next day, Reiji's is talking with a classmate Satsuki about his adventures last Sunday. Satsuki replies by teasing him about a 'lost opportunity'. Going to the main topic, Satsuki requests to borrow the next volume of his manga as she returns the manga to him. Reiji gives it to her but does not realize that it's the wrong volume. Satsuki then decides to leave school feeling that she has no purpose being here. Satsuki is quickly stopped by Yoriko, a student council representative, during her escape attempt. Yoriko mentions that Satsuki has poor participation and attendance and the student council is partially responsible for keeping Satsuki in school. As Yoriko physically restrains Satsuki, causing the contents of her bag to spill out. Satsuki sees Yoriko's weakness with inappropriate manga and tries to use it on Yoriko until... Alice shows up. Guess who Alice is.
